It is a great tool to help combat the effects of ageing, and achieve a more youthful appearance. IPL skin photorejuvenation offers a legitimate and long-lasting solution, as opposed to some procedures which offer only short-term results. It can also be utilised anywhere on the body, offering great versatility from a single procedure

IPL treatments greatly reduce the number and severity of active lesions, lessening the inflammation and frequency of break-outs.

IPL – Vascular Treatment  (facial capillaries, veins and vascular blemishes)

IPL is an ideal option for instantly treating facial vascular blemishes such as broken capillaries, spider veins, thread veins, red spots and cherry angiomas, often found on and around the nose and cheeks. Light is absorbed into the blood that is flowing through the targeted vessel. The absorption converts light into heat energy, which raises the temperature of the blood. During the treatment, the heat generated from vascular laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel causing it to collapse and seal. This process is fast, safe and effective.

Please Note

Generally you can return to work the same day and resume all regular activities. Your skin will not be broken and makeup can be applied immediately afterward. However, some people after the procedure, may feel as if you had been sunburned for about 24-48 hours.  It’s advised to spend anywhere from two to five days out of direct and prolonged sun exposure.  It’s recommended to avoid direct hot water streams, i.e., your shower, or soaking in water in a tub or pool.

Depending on what exactly you’re looking to accomplish, you will likely need to schedule multiple IPL treatments, potentially up to half a dozen. Individual IPL sessions are spaced approximately four weeks apart.

While IPL offers a long-lasting solution with the appearance and texture of your skin, it does not stop the ageing process, or the causes of other wear and tear to your skin. Therefore, it is not a permanent solution.
